The good news of the Gospel is that God loves us so much that he sent his only Son to pay the price for our sins on the cross. When we accept his gift of salvation by trusting in Jesus, we have eternal life. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
